Luxembourg-Manx Society

Objectives

The objectives of the Luxembourg Manx Society are to:

develop awareness and knowledge in Luxembourg of the Isle of Man and its culture, heritage and business environment
organise events for people from or interested in the Isle of Man
provide a forum for discussion and interchange in Luxembourg for people and businesses interested in the Isle of Man
promote and facilitate interest in Luxembourg from people and businesses based in the Isle of Man
provide a point of communication for interaction with other Manx societies and associations worldwide.

Organisation

The Luxembourg Manx Society is set up under Luxembourg law as a non profit making organisation (ASBL – “association sans but lucratif”). As such it has a board of directors that is responsible for running the association in line with its objectives.

Membership

As with all associations of this sort, its success will depend upon the active input and participation of its members. Business, individual and family membership are possible as the Luxembourg Manx Society aims to meet a broad range of interests in connection with the Isle of Man.

Meetings and Events

There will be regular meetings and events organised for members which will be of a business, cultural or social nature. The frequency and nature of the meetings will depend upon members’ interest and demands. In addition and as required by law and the association’s statutes, there will be an Annual General Meeting to which all members will be invited.

Communication

A web-site will be set up which will provide information on the association, its activities and membership.

Links with other Associations

The Luxembourg Manx Society will be affiliated to the World Manx Association and, as such, will strive to follow similar objectives. It will provide a point of communication for interaction with other Manx societies and associations worldwide.
