Christmas Drinks 2014
On 16th December, the Luxembourg Manx Society held its regular meeting for Glühwein indulgence at the Luxembourg City Christmas Market. The event always proves to be a fun and laid back gathering, and provides the Society and its friends with the opportunity to reflect on yet another year of activity!
Curry Night 2014
On Thursday 20th October the Luxembourg Manx Society hosted its first curry night which we hope will become a regular event. The evening took place at the Star of Asia in Luxembourg City Center.
Autumn Brunch 2014
On 19th October the Society met at Diekirch to take a trek in the beautiful countryside, followed by a homemade 3-course dinner at the charming Hotel du Parc. A highlight had to be the encounter with the famous donkeys of Diekirch!
Tynwald Day 2014
Quiz Night 2014
The Luxembourg-Manx Society hosted its first Quiz Night on Thursday 15th May at the Top Squash Sport Centre in Sandweiler. The Quiz started at 7pm with food and drinks available to order.
The event was free to enter, and teams of up to 4 to pitted their wits against each other for the title of Luxembourg-Manx Pub Quiz Champions of 2014. Questions were on a broad range of topics, including specialist rounds on the Isle of Man and Luxembourg.
Isle of Man Beer and Cider Festival 2014
On Friday 11th April 2014, members and friends of the Luxembourg Manx Society joined the Isle of Man Beer and Cider Festival. The festival was well attended with a vast selection of primarily local beers and ciders on offer. The event provided a good opportunity for the Society to come together on the Isle of Man, and we have a feeling it may become a regular fixture on our calendar! Cheers!
